GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
Alwar is also known as “Tiger Gate”. Surrounded by the lush green Aravali hills, this location offers a breathtaking natural setting. This lovely location is surrounded by forests and lakes. The external intervention was not tolerated by the people of the state, who bravely repelled foreign invasions. They formed a band and raided Delhi in the 12th and 13th century. Sultan Bulban (1267 A.D. – 1287 A.D.) eventually suppressed them, placing the province under Muslim rule. Maharaja Pratap Singh, a Kuchhwaha Rajput from the Jaipur kings’ lineage, reclaimed Alwar in 1771 A.D. and established his own principality. Aside from its ancient history, the city boasts a rich natural legacy, including some magnificent lakes and lushly wooded valleys. Here you will find a diverse range of birds and animals. HOW TO REACH:
Air: The nearest airport to Alwar is Jaipur Airport, which is about 148 kilometers away from the city.
